Frequently Asked Questions

  • Getting started is simple. Reach out through our contact form or schedule a call—we’ll walk you through the next steps and answer any questions along the way. Browsing our packages can also help you decide what you want to do.

  • There is a lot of nuance in picking the right size. A good place to start is by using your height. There is overlap in these and they are just suggestions - the easiest way to figure out what size is appropriate for you is to ride the two sizes that are close - the absolute best way is to consult the experts at your local bike shop. With all that said, here’s some bike sizing guidelines:

    • Small - 5’4 - 5’8”

    • Medium - 5’8” - 6’0”

    • Large - 6’0” - 6’2”

    • XLarge - 6’2” +

    * If you are unsure, it is probably best to pick a bike that is slightly too small rather than one that is slightly too large

  • All bikes will come with flat pedals. If you are more comfortable with clipless pedals you will need to bring your own.

  • Having fun and staying safe depends on riding the correct trail. Picking a trail that is challenging is important to advance but trying to ride a trail that is way above your skill level can be dangerous. Here’s some guidelines to keep in mind when picking a trail to ride:

    • Beginners - stay on trails that avoid technical bike skills - i.e. trails with big rocks and steep descents. These are usually cross country type trails. We feature these trails in our First Descent package.

    • Intermediate - Challenge yourself by adding in trails with some easier technical sections. You still want to avoid the big rocks and super steep descents but you are ready to challenge yourself with some entry level tech. we feature some of these trails in our Blue Lines package.

    • Advanced - These trails feature hard climbs, drops, rock rolls, rock gardens and some steep descents. Sometimes all of these features at the same time! We did not include any of these trails in our packages because of the risks involved but they are available in our area. We can discuss if you think that you are truly ready for these.

    * Remember - you assume all the risk, all we can do is suggest a trail that we think is best for your skill level.

  • We don’t just give you a bike and say go have fun. We help you pick (as much as possible) the right bike for you and your abilities, we give you trail advice, we bring the bike to you, we’ll ride with you, heck, we might even feed you after the ride!
